5、雅思75或以上是种什么样的体验？

进了考场以后，还整个非常害怕隔壁不断在咳嗽的同学（各位，当时全世界还在对抗SARS！每个人都有发一个口罩，整个去考试好像去打仗一样）。很快的，就跟在家听「录音带」做练习一样（对，当年只有会绞带的cassette，真的只有十年前吗？！怎麽好像上辈子），跟著考场人员的指示，一步一步做完了听力、阅读跟完全不知自己在写什麽的写作（一个只有念过专科的人，怎麽可能会有机会用英文描述图表... 真的非常崩溃）。

出了考场，先是交了一个朋友，我问她阅读第三篇到底在讲什麽，她才很震撼的发现阅读有三篇，不是只有两篇（这时我居然有点幸灾乐祸的觉得幸好不是只有我搞不清楚状况，想不到这个善心人士还开车载我去考口试，真对不住她．．．）。然后又在考场外跟一个多年没见面的朋友久别重逢（这个朋友就是尼泊尔三人组的成员之一，我们在2012年一同去爬了喜马拉雅山... 的山脚），两人聊得天花乱坠，所以当我下午两点终于到达口试的考场，已经完全不在乎口试到底会不会过了。

所以，当我发现考口试，居然是跟真的人，真的英国人，面对面讲十五分钟时，我其实是吓到的（对，当年托福根本没有在考口试，我居然以为雅思口试是跟全民英检一样，用录音带考试，完全没有熟读那本IELTS手册）。但坐定后，我坚强的拿出英文老师的专业，明明就脚很挫，但还是故作镇定。很快的，考官的问题就连珠炮的一个一个丢出来。（所有被考的题目都在这范围里面－>里兹蚂蚁整理出来的雅思口说考古题）

我第一次上场，因为不知道考官偏好什麽样的答案，所以就像跟随便一个路人聊天一样，他问什麽就答什麽，不假思索。但基本上可以感觉得出来，考官跟我的互动还蛮好的，考完还按掉录音机，问我在哪里学英文的。然后我就Thank you very much, 夹著尾巴逃走。

这次的分数是七分。

以前的雅思是三个月内不淮再报考的，哪像现在你有钱就可以週週考！週週送！所以，三个月后，我再度上场（因为第一次考试前完全没练过writing，书后面只有几篇范本，我一篇作文都没练习写过所以失败。但我一点也不觉得可耻，再度努力上场），不瞒大家说，我仍然跟上次一样，心里知道要好好准备，但是受限于两份工作（对，三份辞掉一份了），我的准备过程，根本还是没有碰到口说这一块。但是，这次我知道，不要再像上次一样，用聊天的口气，每一个问题，我都非常谨慎的回答。以下是我得到八分的残缺的回忆：

It’s a stupid TV programme about violence, sex and all kinds of negative images you can think of. I don’t even understand why this programme is allowed to be shown on TV at dinner time, when the whole family gets together eating dinner and watching TV. …

接下来我就开始不断的一直批评这个节目，完全没有提到剧情，因为我只知道刘文聪很贱，但不太知道详情。骂了两分钟后．．．

第三部份开始了。

Examiner: Do you think this programme is popular?

Me: Yes, extremely. Everyone talks about it and my mum watches it twice a day.

Examiner: Why is it so popular?

Me (我怎麽知道，我就说了我很不喜欢): Hum… To be honest with you, I don’t know! I guess it’s because most people are bored and have nothing to do. Their lives are so boring that they need to see how miserable other people are. They especially love to see bad things happen to other people. I guess some people feel good about themselves after watching this kind of programmes.

Examiner (感觉非常满意我的答案): So in your opinion, what kind of TV programmes should be on TV?

Me (戴上教育家的眼镜): Educational programmes of course! Like the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet Channel and so on.

Examiner (羞辱的哼了我一声): Who wants to watch TV then? (我不确定这是不是他当时正确的用字，但反正意思就是想亏我，谁会想看教育性的节目)

Me: Well, if that’s the only choice on TV, people HAVE TO watch it. (心想，啊你没有听过北韩只有一台电视台吗)

反正接下来，他又问了我一堆谁应该来决定什麽电视节目比较好之类的问题，而这些问题在我学生写的考试回忆分享中都还是不断的在被考著。这次，我就得了八分。当年口说跟写作，是没有点五的，现在变成有点五的，其实难度已经降低了。

IELTS口试的评分的重点，就是这四项：

1. IELTS口试评四项分数－Fluency and Coherence，Lexical Resource，Grammatical Range and Accuracy，Pronunciation。四项都要好，才会得到高分。所以不要一昧的在「单字」上钻牛角尖。我看过好多学生总是努力去查最难的字，譬如讲your favourite vegetable，就想要讲花椰菜里含有「花青素」，不然就是想讲蕃茄，然后硬要查「茄红素」的英文。或是突然讲出一个很怪的发音的字，搞了半天原来是去他去查了中国人很「孝顺」的英文，翻译机写filial obedience，然后就自己乱念。总之，自然就是美，我觉得一开始，应该是把基础文法先搞定，第三人称有没有加S，过去式有没有用对，可数名词前面有没有加a, 后面有没有加s，整体流利度有没有结结巴巴，有没有尽量多用一点不同的形容词，譬如叫你形容台北，就是一个字convenient，而且词性还用错讲Taipei is convenience (x)，发音有没有确实，长音发长，短音发短，还是I live in Daan District讲成I leave in Daan District害我们以为你要说你要去大安区然后整个搞得很謉异。我上面给的例答乍看都很简单，但是若同学能真的正确无误流利自然的讲出来，已经很厉害了。不要被某些老师或大陆书籍故意用上的艰涩单字给吓到了。如果英文到了七分以上的程度，用大字会得更高分（只是还是让人感觉做作无比－有没有看过比尔盖兹甚至欧巴马的演讲？他们都是头脑清楚逻辑合理的演讲者，演讲内容听起来像海伦ｘｘ丝一样顺畅，但没有人会觉得他们英文不好），但如果眼前还是有很多零散的文法错或发音错，人家会觉得，你为什麽不把基本功先做好，就想要练龟派气功呢。不过对于已经有七分，想追求八分的同学，你应该做的是，是多学惯用法（譬如上面用过的The last thing I want to do is + 原形动词），而不是去搞大字，或是把作文整篇用嘴巴背出来。

2. 关于到底要回什麽，其实只要内容紧咬著题目，其实讲什麽都可以，我第一次考的时候讲我喜欢电音（dance music），然后我讲台湾人都觉得电音是瞌药的人听的，考官大概觉得很有趣，还问我都去哪些舞厅。第二次讲“台湾霹雳火”，但我完全都没提到剧情，因为我觉得我已经讲了我都没在看，我当然可以不要讲剧情。一般考生有时太紧张，就会陷入某种狗咬尾巴的情况而讲出一些没逻辑的句子，譬如I like blue because it's my favourite colour. 但基本上我觉得大家的问题都是长期受填鸭式教育导致无法思考，而且是在外国考官面前当场要思考出来一个答案，当然就很容易变成炮灰了。

3. 平常就要训练自己要下三步棋，如果考官问你喜欢什麽食物，同学来上过我的课了，很快的讲出 I eat a lot of Korean food. 记得要立刻在心里想想为什麽你喜欢韩国菜跟一道韩国菜的名字，譬如I love spice food and Korean kimchi is one of my favourite foods.最好再来个两句 There’s a fantastic Korean restaurant near SogoDepartment Store. My family and I go there almost once a week. 或是屁说你阿妈会做泡菜。只是，要虎烂，也麻烦有一点节制好吗。我有一个一对一学生，跟我练习口说时，练到最近的热门考题 Talk about a friend you admire. 她居然就说 I have a friend who was born without arms and legs. 我听到差点没呛到，我问她说，你怎麽会认识没手没脚的人，她还说是邻居．．．．

4. 考官的工作，就是坐在那里听我们讲答案，所以你觉得他们听到同一个答案譬如观光客来台湾，你会推荐他去哪，大家都讲Taipei 101跟night market（然后night market都没加s，不然前面也要加个the好吗）到了200次以上，他还能够装出很开心的表情问你说，Really? Why is that? 当然，我学生的考试分享中，常常提到有些考官脸超臭，表情超不悦，甚至在Hello UK上，我看过一个女生的分享，说只要她向口音极重的考官表达听不懂，考官就「啧」一声，感觉非常不屑，这的确是太过份了。如果你的工作就是拿钱打分数，可以做的开心一点吧。听到考生英文很不好，可以扣分，给低分，但当下表情可能不要这样让人洩气吧！在考官对你不理不睬还要自high的不断的一直碎碎念，实在是一个挑战。所以，解决办法：

A. 想想有没有理由可以支持你刚讲的答案，如果没有，就快点换答案吧！如果你自己都没去过101，也不觉得有去的必要，那你好歹说一句 I think tourists usually go to the most famous spot when they visit a place. At least they can take a picture there and post it on-line to show their friends that they’ve been there. 如果你可以讲出这样的答案，相信我，一定有七分了。

B. 面对脸很臭的人，或是手一直在做自己的事的人，你还必须要一直讲话？找你的老板来当练习吧！相信在职场上，大家天天都有这样的机会。
